  • A:A stole is narrower in width — typically 28x80 inches — and is worn draped over the shoulders or around the neck. A shawl is wider (usually 40x80 inches or more) and wraps around the body for more coverage. Length of a stole and a shawl is same 80 inches. Only difference is in width.
